The first photographic print of Earth.

The first unmanned test of the giant Saturn V Moon rocket went looping 11,000 miles out from the Earth in November 1967, and splashed down with hundreds of colour photographs of the receding Earth. They made less of a splash in the press, however, perhaps because the crescent Earth didn’t seem like home, but these ghostly, marble-like pictures of the Earth, as if asleep, have a special appeal.
