Earthset 2007.

In the autumn of 2007 Japan sent a probe called Kaguya (Selene) to the Moon, equipped with a high definition TV camera and a precision photographic plan. In November 2007 it filmed an Earthrise and an Earthset – this is the Earthset, with the deep shadows creating an eerie landscape. In April 2008 Kaguya filmed a full Earth rising and setting directly over the lunar poles – the most perfect Earthrise possible. (JAXA/NHK)
